HEATS UP SUMMER 2004!

Firebirds Rocky Mountain Grill, a hot restaurant concept based in Charlotte, NC is heating up the summer of 2004. A number of the newly opened restaurants have received various accolades in their local markets.

In July, Firebirds Memphis was voted “Best Atmosphere” 2004 by the readers of the Bartlett Express Newspaper. The Colorado lodge-styled restaurant, the only remodel by the company to date, boasts an open air kitchen that overlooks the dining room accented by heavy timber wood trusses supported by Aspen logs and exposed steel columns. At the heart of the bar and lounge is a large stone fireplace. Wood, steel and an artglass ceiling light sculpture set the scene for a relaxed atmosphere that is every bit as inviting as the food.

Less than a year after opening in September 2003 at Short Pump Town Center in Richmond, VA, Firebirds was voted “Best New Restaurant” in the Region 2004 by the readers of Richmond Magazine. The company’s first location outside of the Carolinas beat out national chains such PF Chang’s and Maggiano’s who took the number two and three spots respectively in the same category!

August was a scorcher out west in Arizona where the Firebirds Peoria location won the readers’ choice award for “Best of The Valley” 2004 by Phoenix Magazine in (more) in 4 categories. Firebirds was awarded the title for “Best New Restaurant,” “Best Burger,” “Best Business Lunch” and tied for “Best Steakhouse!” Situated on the same block as newcomer Cheesecake Factory and PF Chang’s, the free-standing building is located directly across from the Peoria Sports Complex, the spring training facility for the San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners.

Firebirds International, LLC currently has 3 sites under construction including Phoenix, AZ, Birmingham, AL and Raleigh, NC. In addition to those sites, Firebirds has broken ground in Omaha, NE. The company anticipates finalizing deals in Collierville, TN; Madison, WI; Greenville, SC and Charlotte, NC before summer’s end.

Expansion plans on the horizon include Virginia Beach, VA; Little Rock AK; San Antonio TX; Kansas City, KS; Pennsylvania and the suburbs of Washington, DC.

Firebirds Rocky Mountain Grill currently has six restaurants operating in the following markets: Charlotte, NC; Durham, NC; Richmond, VA; Peoria, AZ; Memphis, TN and Tucson, AZ.
